On the 11th of September it was RUOK day. We did loads of activities like blue earth, coloring in and continuum which is a game when you place cards down from ok to not ok. we had a guest come over and she talked about the signs that your friends isn't ok and also about kids help line. they sent out wrist bands when we answered question. we had a relaxed class.
On Friday 15th 3-6 learning community went to the Goldsworthy Athletics track to have our sports day. It was a cold and windy day. The best part was me (Lachlan) beating my brother in the 100 meter race, but red house came 1st, blue 2nd, green 3rd and yellow 4th.
On the 13th of April PC4 PC5 and PC6 came together as a pod to hear Bernard Caleo. He loved making comics for kids the comics he made was Tango made documentary called graphic novels Bernard Caleo loves making comics with no words so they now have body language. He showed us some cave pictures by drawing a piece of paper that had a documentary camera that showed us the pictures on the screen of the interactive whiteboard and, he showed us a comic by Tommy Cray called Hunting Emu. He taught us that one picture is a cartoon but a various of pictures is a comic. Bernard Caleo started making comics because of Tin Tin.
On Thursday the 12th of March everyone in year 6 participated in the cross country at school. There was the 10 turning 11 age group and the 11 turning 12 age group. The boys were separated from the girls and ran at different times. The 10-11 age group ran 3 laps around the school and the 11-12 age group ran 3 laps of the school also.
